Tracy Rosemergy: Sports, Therapeutic and Relaxation Massage Therapist

Ten years ago, I quit my career in the corporate world to become a sports and therapeutic massage therapist. After thirty years of sedentary work in often toxic environments, I had become stressed, tired and was often in pain. Something had to change.

It wasn’t until I started seeing a massage therapist that I realised how much tension I was carrying in my body and the effect it was having on almost every aspect of my life. After a series of sessions, I began to feel the transformation. I was more able to relax, to sleep, the headaches went, my posture improved, and the pains in my upper body eased. I felt more in balance, and not only physically. I regained my positivity, had more energy to get out and about, and after some reflection, felt ready to make a big life change - to become a massage therapist myself.

By 2016, I had graduated with Diplomas in Health Science in both Therapeutic and Sports Massage. I’ve since undertaken training in manual lymphatic drainage techniques, in oncology massage and have a Certificate in Relaxation Massage.

Helping clients rebalance their bodies and minds through massage is my aim and passion. My qualifications, training and experience equip me to assist with a wide range of issues people face in their sports and everyday lives such as pain and stiffness, stress and anxiety, discomfort following injury, annoying knots and niggles, poor circulation, trouble sleeping and more.
It’s such a privilege and joy to be able to relieve their pain, aid their recovery and help improve their quality of life.

My own life experiences have deepened my practice and given me added understanding and empathy especially in certain areas. For decades I worked in high-stress office environments. I have also had breast cancer, and been supporting a close family member with a life-limiting illness. I am a ceroc and ballroom dancer and keenly aware of how important it is to remain strong, flexible and have good posture.

The therapy I offer goes beyond massage. For example, I give guidance to improve posture and advice on how to organise workspaces. I also provide clients with exercises and strategies to help prevent injury and strain at work and in the home.

“There’s nothing like floating in a crystal-clear azure sea warmed by the sun.
It generates such a blissful sense of calm - rather like the feeling I get after a really good massage.”
